The installation of ventilation pipes is a technical work, which requires the installation workers to handle in strict accordance with the standards according to the conditions of the construction site. In the construction process, there are many problems that need special attention, such as the pipe intersection joints must be tight, uniform in width, free of holes, expansion defects, etc. Next, let’s  understand some influencing factors of air duct construction quality control management.

10 points for air duct installation shall be kept in mind:

1. The plate made of air duct and the profile made of flange shall meet the specification and design requirements.

2. The strength of  air duct shall be used when making air duct, and 20mm aluminum foil shall be reserved at one side of the adhesive during blanking.

3. During site construction, pipes need to be connected section by section, either on the ground or on the support; The general installation sequence is from main pipe to branch pipe.

4. Determine bonding time according to seasonal temperature, humidity and adhesive performance; After bonding, use angle ruler and steel tape to check and adjust the perpendicularity and diagonal deviation to meet the requirements.

5. The connection port of air duct shall be tight, the flange shall not be installed in a staggered way, and the plug-in connection shall be firm and tight.

6. The connected pipes need to be checked for straightness and adjusted, which is a key step.

7. After installation, the air duct layout shall be beautiful, and the bracket and air duct shall not be inclined.

8. The detachable interface and adjustment mechanism of pipes and fittings shall be installed in the position convenient for operation, and shall not be installed in the wall or floor; The air valve components connected with the air duct shall be supported and fixed separately.

9. The fusible plate of fire damper is installed on the windward side; The fire damper shall be no more than 200mm from the wall.

10. No one is allowed to stand up and down the pipeline when hoisting the pipeline; At the same time, there shall be no heavy objects on the inner and upper surfaces of the pipeline to prevent falling objects from injuring people, and the pipeline cannot bear the load.

There are many precautions in the process of installation and acceptance of ventilation pipes from production, transportation to the ground. As small as one bolt and one valve, construction personnel need to be extra careful, strictly observe the quality and complete the project with high quality.
